Service Transition 1 of 2: What do you need to know?

Points to note:

  • Service Change is the addition, modification or removal of authorized, planned or supported service or service component and its associated documentation
  • The Transition includes, but nit restricted to:
Organizational changes.
Transfer of Control of Service(s)from Customer to Service provider or vice versa.

Transfer of Control of Service(s) from Vendor to Service provider or vice versa.
Operational, Strategic, Tactical and other changes, impacting the management of Services.

    •  It is important to consider the effect of  "changes" on People.
    • An increased rate of success of changes and releases is first and foremost a result of good Service Transition practices. The ability to quickly adapt to new requirements is next.
