  • 4Ps of Service Design are People, Process, Partner and Product.
  • 5 Aspects of Service Design are:
Design of Service Solutions
Design of Service Management Systems and Tools
Design of Technology Architecture and management Systems
Design of Measurement Systems and Metrics
and 
Design of Processes required  for the Service(s).



  • Uses Technology to manage the design aspects, including the Design of Hardware & Software,  Environment, Process, Data etc.
  • Produces a Service Design Package (SDP) for Service Transition for a new or changed service. It is likely to contain the complete technical, organizational implementation plan (Blue print), Specifications, Knowledge Transfer/ Training references, Testing / Acceptance details etc. This is to enable a smooth transition of the services to production by the Service transition phase. 
  • Reduction of TCO, Improvement of quality, Effective Service management Processes are the benefits of a good Service Design practice.
